A lovely, thought-provoking anime series.
A young traveller visits many small countries, each of which embodies a certain philosophy or thought experiment. There's a twist that turns the land's premise on its head, some sort of resolution…and then Kino journeys on.
I highly recommend the 2005 anime series. The 2017 sequel/remake series is fine but nothing special, and the original light novels by Keiichi Sigsawa are unlikely to be localized after the first volume was botched by the publisher.
